As many as 36 different national public healthcare programmes are being successfully implemented in Chamarajanagar district by the Department of Health and Family Welfare for the healthcare needs of the public.

Disclosing this, District Health Officer Chidambar said here on Tuesday that the healthcare services are being taken to the doorsteps of the people in the district with the help of various health schemes, which are being effectively launched.

During the interaction with the media persons on the healthcare schemes currently being implemented here, Mr. Chidambar said, “Lifestyle diseases are on the rise, and a lack of physical activity is leading to the development of certain avoidable health issues.
