District Principal Judge E. Bheema Rao said that as many as 32 Lok Adalat benches were set up across the erstwhile Chittoor district for prompt resolving of compoundable cases through mutual settlement.
Inaugurating the Mega National Lok Adalat here on Saturday, Mr. Bheema Rao observed that Lok Adalat verdicts were final and binding, while further appeals will not be possible. Judge Rao sought the litigants to go in for amicable solutions to their problems.
Senior Civil Judge M.S. Bharathi, First Additional District Judge Ramesh, Sixth Additional District Judge Babu Nayak and senior police officials were present. A total of 8,199 civil and criminal cases were identified, which included 5,236 pre-litigation cases related to loan recovery, MV Act cases, and family disputes.
