Raipur-based lawyer Faizan Khan, who was accused of sending a death threat to Shah Rukh Khan and demanding Rs 50 lakh as extortion, had done extensive research on Shah Rukh Khan and son Aryan Khan’s security details along with the megastar’s family.
This was discovered after the forensic analysis of Faizan Khan’s second mobile phone, which was recovered by Bandra Police. Faizal is in judicial custody for the next 10 days.
The threat caller identified himself as “Hindustani” and asked for Rs 50 lakh. The caller said: “Ask Shah Rukh Khan to pay up Rs 50 lakh. If he doesn’t, he will die… My name is not important, but if you want to write, not down the name ‘Hindustani’.”
As per PTI, the lawyer earlier told the police that he lost his phone last week and had filed a police complaint, the official said.
The threat to Shah Rukh Khan follows a series of threats issued to fellow actor Salman Khan, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
“The Bandra police station received a call threatening
Shah Rukh Khan and asking for Rs 50 lakh. An offence has been registered. No arrest has been made yet,” a senior Mumbai police official said.
A case has been registered by the Bandra police under sections 308(4) (extortion involving threats of death or serious injury) and 351(3)(4) (criminal intimidation) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the caller who threatened Shah Rukh Khan, the official said.
Coming back to SRK, he broke the news of quitting smoking to his fans and made them happy and jubilant.
In the viral video from the event, SRK is seen saying, “The good news is that I’m not smoking anymore, guys.”Mujhe laga tha ki I will not feel so breathless, but abhi bhi feel kar raha hu (I thought I wouldn’t feel breathless after quitting smoking, but I still do),” he added.
