Randeep Hooda has not only said no to films like Rang De Basanti and Rock On!, he also declined Nana Patekar’s Ab Tak Chhappan. Randeep told Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel.

The actor said, ‘After my theatre play, I was called by RGV. He wanted me to play a young officer’s role in Ab Tak Chhappan. When they asked me about it, I refused. I said, ‘I have come here to play Nana Patekar’s role.’

He added, ‘I am not doing this role.’ They asked me to meet RGV. I met him. He told me, ‘I love your attitude. Show me your body.’ He told me we would do a film called Ek in which I was supposed to play a villain. But that film didn’t get made. My girlfriend at that time scolded me for showing an attitude in front of RGV and not having humility. The next day, when I went to meet him, I talked to him politely and humbly, and he said, ‘I liked you better yesterday.’

Hooda, the actor who was last seen in Jaat, recently spoke about his shocking physical transformations in films like Sarbjit, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. He revealed he lost 18 kilos in just 28 days.

The actor said, ‘There’s nothing better than fasting. It not only boosts energy levels but also prevents the laziness often felt after eating. He suggested fasting for 1-2 days to feel more active and rejuvenated.’

Speaking to Shubhankar Mishra, Randeep said, ‘If I would have done Rang De Basanti, I would have come in a different league. I gave the audition and I liked it. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra would come me, sometimes driving drunk, and he would ask me ‘kar le kar le picture karle..’’
