The crowd support at the State School Arts Festival has been heartening. These festivals nurture future stars who make our state proud. I have watched several events including Oppana, Margamkali and Kolkali; there were some outstanding performances in each of those.

As an enthusiastic follower of the State School Arts Festival, in absentia, I have been depending on The Hindu for its vibrant coverage for years in succession. The summation, with artistic and literary flourish, of each day’s happenings at various venues, does help oldies like me feel like being a vicarious participant.

I was out of town when the festival was inaugurated, but plan to catch up with the remaining events in the coming days. I am happy to see that The Hindu is giving an extensive coverage of the festival.
It is heartening to see that the day’s performances are listed, helping one to choose the venues.
