Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg with his licensed revolver. He was rushed to a nearby hospital last year in October.
The incident of misfired around 4:45 am when Govinda was checking the revolver before stepping out of his home for an appointment.
As per reports, the bullet struck Govinda’s knee, and he was immediately taken to CRITICare Hospital in Mumbai.
A report by NDTV said that the actor was alone at home at the time of the incident. Shilpa Shetty jokingly asked the actor if his wife shot him. Sunita Ahuja now in an interview quipped, “Had I shot him, I would have aimed for the chest.
Sources to CNN News18 said that the incident took place when Govinda was getting ready to leave for airport to catch an early morning flight to Kolkata.

ANI quoted Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha as saying that Govinda was checking and keeping his licensed revolver in its case when he dropped it. The revolver went off and the bullet hit his leg.
“The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital right now,” Sinha was quoted as saying by ANI.
Govinda, a renowned Bollywood actor, joined Maharashtra’s ruling party Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), making a comeback in politics after a 14-year hiatus.
