Raichur: A violent confrontation erupted in Ragimanagudda Layout late Thursday when two groups clashed over fireworks being set off near a residence, leading to the killing of Narasimhalu, 37. The incident occurred during Deepavali festivities when several youths were bursting firecrackers in front of Narasimhalu‘s residence. Objecting to this activity escalated into a violent confrontation between the two parties, resulting in Narasimhalu’s death and severe injuries to two others. Raichur West police took seven accused, named Vinod, Rohan, Ishwar, Naresh, Prakash, Chintu, and Akhil, into custody on charges of murder using machete, wood, and physical assault. The two injured are currently receiving treatment at Navodaya Hospital.
