Showman Subhash Ghai gave 14 hits in a row, starting all the way from Kalicharan in 1976 to Taal in 1999. As a producer, he has backed films like 36 China Town, Apna Sapna Money Money, Aitraaz, and above all, Iqbal. He also has an institution called Whistling Woods International since 2006.
In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, the veteran filmmaker spoke about the growing reliance of Artificial Intelligence and its impact on Hindi cinema.
Ghai said, “What is Artificial Intelligence? Artificial Intelligence has been created by the human mind. Human intelligence has created artificial intelligence. Thousands of brains have come together and created information and knowledge for your help. Your parents can help you through this information you can study as well. Artificial Intelligence can never take over the credibility of a person. A human mind is one of the finest minds in the world.”
The filmmaker added, “If he can create artificial intelligence, yeh to ho Gaya na bas. Let’s not fear that it is going to take over. A man will continue to progress and artificial intelligence will become a routine. There was a time when you physically had to go to a library today you have an archive. Suppose there’s a dog and king on an isolated island. Now what their relationship is: who is going to save who, who’s going to kill who. Now this is a story that I have made right in front of you, not with the help of artificial intelligence. They will always be technology. All you have to do is be aware about it and alert about it. What’s next is the nature of the human mind.”
