Apart from performing daredevil stunts and high-octane action sequences, Akshay Kumar is also known for bang-on comic timing and 2007’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa is the classic example.
However, he was replaced in the 2nd and 3rd parts of the franchise by Kartik Aaryan and despite turning out to be box office winners these movies were bashed by the audience and Akshay Kumar fans.
In a recent interaction with PinkVilla, when Akshay was questioned about the reason he parted ways from the
Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, the actor replied, “Beta, mujhey nikaal diya tha. (I was removed) That’s it.”
Akki also shared update on Hera Pheri 3 and said, “Even I am waiting to start Hera Pheri 3. I don’t know, but if everything goes well, it will start this year.” He added, “When we started Hera Pheri, we didn’t know it would go ahead to become such a cult. Even when I saw the film, I didn’t understand. Yes, it was funny, but none of us expected the characters of Babu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam to become a cult.”
Praising Paresh Rawal with whom he is shooting Bhoot Bangla in Jaipur, Akki said, “We were just shooting for Bhooth Bangla in Jaipur, and I had lots of fun with him. During Hera Pheri, we had a lot of fun, but there are some things which can’t be said on camera.”
From the real pages of history to the reel of glory, witness a saga of bravery and patriotism like never before! 🇮🇳🫡
