Veer Pahariya, who is set to make his debut in Akshay Kumar starrer Sky Force, has opened up for the first time about his parents’ divorce.
Veer’s parents, Smruti Shinde and Sanjay Pahariya married in 1993. However, the duo started living separately in 2005 and filed for divorce in 2007. The actor opened up about that phase and how it impacted his childhood.
“Since childhood, things about life has been in the public domain. My parents had a very public split and in 2006 that came everywhere. There was no social media but that time it was all over the papers,” Veer told Times Now.
“It was a very uncomfortable place to be as a child but that was always written about. So, whenever I would enter a room, whoever I would meet they would know that because that was the only medium at that point,” he added.
He recalled the judgements about him and his brother and added, “After that I think a lot of about my personal life and my relationships and all was written in 2015 onwards and then it was talked about. I chose to be respectful about it. I never gave a statement I never put anything on my social media. It’s not my place and that time I was not in public life.”
“A lot of people will have a lot of judgment about me my brother, what background we come from, who we are as people but you will not know until I tell you,” he shared.
Sky Force, which also features Nirmat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan and Sharad Kelkar among others in prominent roles, is set to hit the screens on 24th January during the Republic Day weekend. The film is directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani
