Popular television star Aly Goni, an ardent fan of Shahid Kapoor, shared his unpleasant experience during the screening of Deva at a plush multiplex in the suburbs of Mumbai. The TV star walked out after the screening stopped due to technical difficulties and was miffed with the multiplex management.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Aly shared a video shot inside the hall and wrote, “We are watching the movie at Inorbit and look at this… The film is stuck. Shahid Kapoor is not getting up. This is the condition of Inox, brother. Take a look.”
He added, “And it has stopped again. This is the condition of INOX. We paid Rs 5000 for tickets and now it has stopped. They are saying it will take 15-20 minutes… @inoxmovies disappointed never coming back.”
“Thanks to INOX, we couldn’t watch the film because of you. We love you, Shahid Kapoor. We will definitely make another attempt because I went to watch the film only for Shahid Kapoor. But PVR doesn’t want us to watch the film, and the theater is in bad condition – the sound isn’t working. So, we are leaving from here now,” he concluded.
Aala re aala, #Deva aala, with MASS energy! 💥#DevaTrailer out now.

Talking about the review, Firstpost gave
Deva 3 stars and wrote, “The biggest downer is the climatic twist where the vulnerability of the central character from the original is replaced by a clichéd sermon by Dev-A. There could be two reasons why the makers decided to change the finale. They wanted to be firm that this was not a remake of the Malayalam thriller. Or maybe the leading man wasn’t comfortable in essaying a queer. Maybe the makers wanted to give a more stylized and bronzed look to Dev-A. Style hai babu Bhaiyaa makers ka style. No points for guessing which film comes to mind.”
