Campus recruitment drive in progress at the Yogi Vemana University (YVU) in Kadapa on Thursday.
The event was attended by 500 students from Rayalaseema districts, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Bapatla and the neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.
The campus recruitment drive conducted at the Yogi Vemana University (YVU) in Kadapa on Thursday saw 160 students secure lucrative jobs . Among them, 60 were the university’s own college students.
YVU principal S. Raghunatha Reddy and Registrar Padma inaugurated the drive. The event was attended by 500 students from Rayalaseema districts, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Bapatla and the neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.
Representatives from the multinational company Biocon conducted oral tests and selected 160 candidates for roles in production, quality control, engineering and maintenance divisions. Upon completion of their apprenticeship, selected candidates will be offered an initial annual pay package of ₹3.8 lakh, announced the university’s placement cell director G. Vijaya Bharathi.
