District Revenue Officer (DRO) K. Madhusudan Rao has instructed officials to ensure a smooth and malpractice-free conduct of Class 10 public examinations in Annamayya district.

The examinations will be held from March 17 to 31, from 9.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. in 121 centres. As many as 22,355 students are expected to appear for the tests. Open school examinations will also be held from March 17 to 28 at 19 centres.

Officials have been directed to complete all necessary infrastructure arrangements, including drinking water, fans, lighting and sanitary facilities. Various departments, including Revenue, Police, Transport, Medical, Electricity and Postal Services, have been assigned various responsibilities.

The DRP said that to ensure fair examinations, Section 144 would be enforced around the centres, which have been declared “no phone zones.” Students are strictly prohibited from carrying mobile phones, notes or any other unauthorised materials. Task force and flying squads will monitor the process to prevent malpractice.

The RTC will arrange additional buses for students, and the Discoms will ensure an uninterrupted power supply. Medical camps will be set up at exam centers with essential medicines and ORS packets, the official said.
