Bela in Adilabad logs 6.6°C as Telangana feels the chill

Cold weather has gripped Telangana, with minimum temperatures hitting new lows each day. According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) on Saturday, Bela in Adilabad district recorded the State’s lowest temperature at 6.6°C, followed closely by 6.7°C in Sirpur, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district.

The data shows that five locations across the State recorded temperatures below 10°C. These include Pembi in Nirmal district at 9.3°C, Jukkal in Kamareddy district at 9.4°C and Nyalkal in Sangareddy district at 9.8°C. Statewide, minimum temperatures remained below 18°C, with Gadwal in Jogulamba Gadwal district recording the highest minimum temperature of 17.2°C. In Hyderabad, the lowest temperature was 14.9°C, observed in West Marredpally.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast misty or hazy conditions during the morning in isolated parts of Telangana over the next two days. Minimum temperatures are expected to remain below normal in some areas, as per its daily bulletin.

Hyderabad for the next 24 hours will see partly cloudy skies, with mist or haze during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 29°C and 17°C, respectively, the bulletin added.
