Centre sanctions 160 new fire tenders for State, says A.P. Fire Services DG

A.P. State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department Director General Madireddy Pratap offering a floral tribute to the martyrs during the ‘Fire Services Week’ in Rajamahendravaram on Monday.

Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department Director General (DG) Madireddy Pratap said that the Centre has sanctioned 160 new fire tenders for the State. 

Mr. Pratap flagged off the ‘Fire Services Week’ here on Monday, to create awareness on preparedness and adoption of various technologies to tackle fire mishaps in educational institutions, hospitals and storage godowns. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Pratap announced that the Centre had released a grant for setting up 25 new fire stations across the State. 

In East Godavari district, two new fire stations are being constructed in Rajamahendravaram Rural and Devarapalli. Regional Fire Services officer E. Swamy, District Fire Services officer M. Martin Luther King and other officials were present.
