Spread the News

The South Zone Task Force team, along with Chikkadpally police, apprehended three persons involved in an online cricket betting racket. Authorities have seized ₹2,48,200 in cash and three mobile phones used in the illegal operation.

The accused have been identified as Mohd Firasath Ali, a resident of Rein Bazaar, who operated as a sub-bookie, along with Nitin Kumar from Moosarambagh, and Vikas Agarwal from Domalguda, both of whom acted as punters.

Investigations have revealed that the accused secured betting user IDs from a main bookie, identified as Pavan, who is based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Using these IDs, they engaged in betting activities for the ongoing IPL-2025 season through various online platforms, including Peachexch, Radheexchange.com, and Silvarbay.com.

They also provided login credentials to other punters in exchange for commissions, facilitating illegal gambling activities.

Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement officials raided a location near Sundaraiah Park, where they arrested the accused and seized the cash and mobile phones. The arrested persons and confiscated materials have been handed over to the Chikkadpally police for further investigation.
