Crime Branch gets three-day custody of Shuhaib in exam paper leak case

Spread the News

Crime Branch (CB) officials on Tuesday took Mohammed Shuhaib, chief executive officer of the Koduvally-based online learning platform M.S. Solutions, to his office and a relative’s house to collect evidence in the SSLC exam paper leak case.

This follows the permission granted by the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, Thamarassery, to the CB for three days of custodial interrogation of Mr. Shuhaib, the prime suspect, and Abdul Nasar, the peon at an unaided school in Malappuram, who is reported to have leaked some question papers to Fahad, one of the teachers at M.S. Solutions.

Mr. Nasar will be taken to Malappuram on Wednesday. Mr. Shuhaib surrendered before the CB officials after his anticipatory bail plea was dismissed by the High Court on March 6. Mr. Nasar was arrested a day earlier. Mr. Fahad and Jishnu, another teacher at M.S. Solutions, were arrested and later granted bail. It is learnt that they will be called in for interrogation again.
