A 35-year-old farmer died and three were injured after being struck by lightning near Nesargi village near Bailhongal in Belagavi district on Wednesday evening.
Basavaraja Nagappa Sangolli of Karikatti died. His wife and two others were injured. They have been admitted to a private hospital in Belagavi.
They were returning from the fields when they were struck by lightning, the police said.
A case has been registered.
