Film industry personalities are scheduled to meet Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy today (December 26, 2024) morning with the meeting being facilitated by the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TGFDC) chairman V. Venkata Ramana Reddy, popularly known as Dil Raju.
He said the Chief Minister has given time on Thursday and the meeting is likely to be held at the police towers in Banjara Hills to create a healthy atmosphere.
Addressing media personnel at KIMS Hospitals in Hyderabad, TGFDC’s new chairman said that the meeting is held on behalf of the corporation and actors, producers, directors are being informed about it. “We are calling everyone who are in Hyderabad,” he said.
Senior actors Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and producers including Allu Arvind are likely to participate on behalf of the industry while Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy will join the CM.
The meeting assumes significance in the light of the Sandhya theatre stampede episode, the arrest of Allu Arjun and the subsequent developments pushing the industry into a corner and the government expressing its strong resentment over the attitude of the film industry heads on the stampede episode in which a woman was killed.
