Telangana BJP lashed out at Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for “spending crores of rupees” on publicity on welfare schemes without implementing the same. Party chief spokesperson N.V. Subash on Tuesday accused the government of “monumental betrayals,” like the farm loan waiver and ‘Rythu Bharosa’ financial aid.
“Official banners claim nearly two lakh farmers received benefits. But on the ground, it’s not a reality. No waivers and no Bharosa — only growing frustration in rural Telangana. This government has perfected the art of announcements without action,” he said.
The BJP leader accused the government of quietly shelving ‘Kalyana Lakshmi’ scheme, meant to support marriage expenses for daughters in low-income families. “Disbursal has stopped and the even the promised ‘one tola gold’ is just another gimmick,” he claimed
On youth welfare, he charged that of the of the ₹24.45 crore earmarked for jobless youth, only ₹5.95 crore has been accounted for. “This isn’t just incompetence — it’s daylight robbery of Telangana’s youth and their future,” he said. Mr. Subash demanded a white paper detailing the utilisation of funds allocated for farmers, youth, and welfare schemes. And, also immediate release of pending dues under various welfare schemes.
