Health camps to be held for municipal workers across Telangana

As part of the first anniversary celebrations of the Congress government on Tuesday, health camps, including eye screening, will be organised for municipal workers across the State.

This apart, a sanitation drive with focus on public toilets, schools, waterbodies and historical places; distribution of safety kits to sanitation workers; elimination of places prone to garbage dumping; and other activities will also be taken up in all the 142 urban local bodies in the State.

Director of Municipal Administration T.K. Sridevi, in a videoconference with municipal commissioners, also called for inauguration of municipal works, Indira Mahila Shakti units, victory rallies, distribution of bank linkage cheques to self-help groups and loans to street vendors and illumination of offices, according to a press release.
