Kalaburagi district on Monday recorded 38.6 degree Celsius, the highest temperature in the State as per a summary of observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department.
The districts of Kalyana Karnataka and Kittur Karnataka region continue to reel under a severe heat wave with the mercury reaching the 38.6 degrees Celsius mark in Kalaburagi, while it was 38.1 degree Celsius in Bagalkot district on Monday.
The temperature recorded in Kalaburagi and Balagkot was 2 degrees Celsius less than the average temperature recorded during the same period in the previous years.
Koppal recorded the maximum temperature of 37.4 degrees Celsius. Raichur, Gadag and Belagavi Airport recorded an identical maximum temperature of 37 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature recorded in Bidar district was 36.2 degree Celsius.
