The Karnataka Lalitha Kala Academy has organised a unique four-day exhibition and sale of paintings, showcasing over 500 works by 300 artists.
The event, at Chitra Kala Parishath, which will conclude on Tuesday, offers a rare opportunity for art lovers to own authentic masterpieces crafted in a variety of mediums, including watercolour, acrylic, and oil.

Academy chairman P.S. Kumar said that this initiative aims to democratise art by making it accessible and affordable to all. It seeks to empower local talent while fostering a deeper appreciation for Karnataka’s artistic heritage. Mr Kumar emphasised that the exhibition is about breaking barriers and bringing art into everyday homes, creating a thriving community that values artistic expression.

“The event highlights the creative diversity of the state, with vibrant colours, captivating narratives, and a wide array of artistic techniques on display. Visitors can discover hidden gems, support emerging artists, and enrich their living spaces with authentic works of art” a release added.
