KCR took ₹57,84,124 salary in 15 months but attended Assembly for 2 days: Telangana CM

Spread the News

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, on Saturday, made an interesting comment on BRS chief and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly K. Chandrasekhar Rao stating that he had drawn ₹57,84,124 as salary from December 2023 to February 28, 2025, but had turned up in the Assembly for just two days.

The Supreme Court has also stated that MLAs are government employees and KCR has drawn such a huge amount by working for just two days, the CM said.

He further said that there was a work-from-home concept during Covid but now even that is withdrawn for government employees. With a dash of sarcasm, he asked whether there was ‘Work from Farmhouse’ concept.

Dismissing BRS charges that the Congress government had created ₹1.50 lakh crore debt in the last 15 months, he said that out of this, ₹88,591 crore was spent on principal repayments, and ₹64,768 crore towards interest on payments. Effectively, all that this government took was just ₹4,682 crore as ₹1,53,359 crore is paid as interest and principal on loans.

The Chief Minister argued that the BRS government left the State with a debt of ₹8,19,151 crore when it handed over power to the Congress.
