A garment employee who was sleeping at the Kempegowda Bus Station was allegedly stabbed to death while reportedly resisting a robbery bid on Thursday night.
The victim Chandra, 45, hailing from Mysuru, worked at a garment factory in the city. He had not gone to work for the past two days and was sleeping drunk.
According to the police, two people allegedly tried to snatch his mobile phone from his pant pocket. When Chandra tried to resist the robbery, the duo allegedly stabbed him multiple times and fled, the police said.
Upparpet Police have registered a case of murder and are trying to identify the accused through CCTV camera footage.
