As per India Meteorological Department’s temperature forecast, the maximum temperature over North and South Interior Karnataka is expected to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next three days.

Hotter days are ahead for people residing in the districts of Kalyana Karnataka and Kittur Karnataka with temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius being recorded in 56 locations in the region in the last 24 hours.
According to a bulletin issued by the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNMDC), Kallur Hobli in Raichur district recorded the highest maximum temperature of 42.4 degree Celsius in the State.
As per KSNMDC weather monitoring network, 13 locations in Kalaburagi district, eight locations each in Bagalkot and Raichur districts, seven locations in Vijayapura district, five locations each in Bidar and Yadgir districts, three locations in Belagavi district, two locations each in Dharwad, Gadag and Vijayanagara districts and one location in Ballari district recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and above in the last 24 hours, between 8.30 a.m. on Thursday and 8.30 a.m. on Friday.
Two stations in Belagavi district’s Athani taluk (Anantpur and Telsang), one in Raibag taluk (Kudchi) have recorded a maximum temperature of over 40 degrees Celsius.
Two stations in Dharwad district, one in Kalghatgi taluk (Dummawada) and one in Hubballi taluk (Chabbi) and two stations in Gadag district, one in Nargund taluk (Konnur) and one in Ron taluk (Hole Alur) have recorded such temperature.
