In a move to enhance public transport and infrastructure, Ministers Anagani Satya Prasad and Satya Kumar Yadav, along with APSRTC Chairman Konakalla Narayana, on Monday, fulfilled a long-standing demand of the people of Repalle by launching two new bus services from here to Tirupati. Additionally, eight more bus services to Vijayawada and Guntur were launched to improve the connectivity

Revenue Minister Mr. Satya Prasad said: “From now on, people can travel directly from Repalle to Tirupati without inconvenience.” He also assured that road infrastructure projects were under way in the constituency as promised.

Later, the Ministers attended the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a new building at the Sanatana Vedanta Nishta Ashram’s Sri Saraswati Vidyamandir in Chatragadda village. MLA Mandali Buddha Prasad and the APSRTC Chairman also attended the event.

Highlighting reforms in the education sector, Mr. Satya Prasad emphasized that the government had embarked on major changes. He said that Education Minister Nara Lokesh was rectifying the issues that cropped up in the education system during the previous administration. The curriculum from kindergarten to postgraduate levels is being revamped, and 16,000 teacher posts will soon be filled through the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment process. Additionally, the Thalli Ki Vandanam scheme will be implemented from next month to benefit all school-going children, he noted.

Mr. Satya Prasad also lauded Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s P4 initiative, which aims to involve the public in governance and development. He urged Health Minister Mr. Yadav to lay special focus on improving healthcare services in the underdeveloped Repalle region.

Mr. Yadav, meanwhile, underscored the importance of teaching in the mother tongue. “The obsession with English medium education is not necessarily beneficial. Those who study in their mother tongue tend to be more creative,” he asserted and cited the examples of leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mr. Naidu, who achieved great success after receiving education in their mother tongue.
