Mukul Saran Mathur is an Indian Railway Traffic Service officer of the 1988 batch.

Mukul Saran Mathur has taken charge as General Manager of South Western Railway in Hubballi.
He is an Indian Railway Traffic Service officer of the 1988 batch and holds a Law degree from Delhi University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.
Before joining this assignment, he was Additional Member, Commercial, on the Railway Board.
In his career spanning more than over three decades, he has served on Central Railway, Northern Railway, East Coast Railway, West Central Railway and Railway Board in various capacities.
Previously, he held important assignments of PED/Infrastructure, Principal Chief Operations Manager/West Central Railway, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Divisional Railway Manager/Waltair, and Executive Director/PPP, Railway Board, among others.
He has handled key infrastructure projects, including Dedicated Freight Corridor Project, High Speed Rail Project and Port and Mine Connectivity Project.
Also, he has contributed towards enhancing passenger experience through digital solutions.
He has also worked as the Head of Asia office of the International Union of Railways and has contributed to rail developments in the Asia-Pacific region.
For his works in the past, he has been awarded by the Railway Minister MR Award in 2005, Change Agent Award in 2018 by Railway Minister and Leadership Excellence Award in 2019 by the Railway Minister.
He succeeds Arvind Srivastava who got superannuation, said a release from Chief Public Relations Officer Manjunath Kanamadi.
