Four persons were arrested by Jawaharnagar police after uncovering a prostitution racket being run from a residence in Anjanadri Nagar, Dammaiguda. Two women, who were rescued during the operation, were moved to the Prajwala Home for rehabilitation and care.
The accused were identified as Khader Alimullah, 26 and Rubina Ghazi, 23 — both residents of West Bengal, Nemaram alias Raju Patel, 35, native of Rajasthan and presently residing in Keesara and Mohammed Rehan, a resident of the same house.
Investigation revealed that the racket had been operating for a while. Rehan played a role in facilitating the illicit operation. All four accused have been taken into custody, and a case was registered under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, and further investigation is underway.
