A book comprising articles on late Pandit Taranath titled Taranada will be released at Srujana Rangamandir on Karnatak College campus in Dharwad on Friday at 5 p.m.
Pt. Rajeev Taranath Memorial Trust and GB Joshi Memorial Trust have jointly organised the programme in memory of the renowned sarod maestro Pandit Rajeev Taranath.
The programme will begin with the screening of a documentary on Pt. Rajeev Taranath by Naguvana Creations, followed by the release of the book, a press release said.
Jnanpith award-winning Kannada writer Chandrasekhar Kambar will release the book.
Manohara Grantha Mala publisher Ramakanth Joshi, Hindustani vocalist Pt. Venkatesh Kumar and litterateur Basavaraj Kalgudi will speak about the book.
Subsequently, flautist Pt. Praveen Ghodkindi will perform. He will be accompanied on the tabla by Uday Kulkarni.
