Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Floor Leader in the Lok Sabha, Shri Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu alleged that large-scale land scam happened during the tenure of the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking in Parliament in New Delhi on Tuesday, he accused the past administration of systematic misappropriation of public resources and land-grabbing, calling it a serious breach of governance.
In a strongly worded appeal, Mr. Devarayalu urged the Central government to intervene and provide necessary support to the NDA-led State government in Andhra Pradesh to rectify the alleged irregularities. He emphasized that such land scams had not only affected governance but also hindered development and public welfare.
According to the TDP leader, the previous dispensation had engaged in large-scale illegal land transactions, leading to loss of valuable public assets. He alleged that certain influential individuals within the YSRCP had manipulated land records and wrongfully acquired lands meant for government projects and public purposes.
Mr. Devarayalu further demanded a detailed investigation into the land dealings that took place under the previous regime. He called for strict legal action against those responsible, stressing the need for transparency and accountability in governance.
