Teachers urge Andhra government to release DA arrears

The Navyandhra Teachers’ Association on Sunday urged the government to release DA arrears and surrendered leave encashment of employees under the contributory pension scheme (CPS). In a statement, association state president K. Harikrishna and general secretary M. Srinivas Rao said DA arrears for the employees had been pending since 2018, and withholding it for nearly seven years was unfair. Pointing to reports that only one month’s matching grant had been released for CPS employees, they requested the government to release the full amount without further delay.
