Hongirana, a theatre troupe, will hold a three-day theatre festival from January 2, 2025, to mark the birth anniversary of poet Kuvempu. The festival was earlier scheduled to be held last week. However, it was postponed after the State government declared a seven-day mourning period following the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
As per the revised schedule, the plays—Bommanahalli Kindari Jogi, Nanna Gopala, and Ravana Darshanam—will be staged at Suvarna Samskruthi Bhavan, Rangayana Shivamogga, on January 2, 3 and 4 respectively. The shows begin at 6.30 p.m. every evening.
Entry is free, said a press communique of Hongirana.
