U.S.-based Artificial Intelligence company, Parabola9, has set up an incubation startup centre at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Nuzvid IIIT campus.

Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy and company director Surendra Bellamkonda inaugurated Parabola9’s first incubation startup centre in India on the university’s campus in Eluru district on December 6 (Friday).

Mr. Parthasarathy said the AI incubation centre on the RGUKT campus would provide an opportunity for students to undergo specialised training in AI applications.

“The startup company set up on the IIIT campus will help bring out the hidden talent among the students,” Mr. Parthasarathy said and praised the RGUKT for nurturing the students from villages into good engineers.

The programmes of Parabola9 were designed to equip students with the skills required for the current job market, significantly improving their career prospects. The new startup incubation centre will encourage students to work on real-world projects, offering them hands-on experience in developing AI solutions.

According to the company representative, 15 students from the CSE (E-4, Computer Science Engineering) department of the RGUKT were selected as full-time interns after clearing an aptitude test and interview. These students will receive a monthly stipend of ₹12,000, the Minister said.

“We are thrilled to announce our presence in the heart of Nuzvid, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for AI-powered startups and innovators. We are passionate about nurturing and accelerating the growth of promising startups that leverage AI, machine learning, and data science,” said Mr. Surendra.

Our motto is to percolate IT solutions to rural base with a global prospective, the director of the company said.

RGUKT Director S. Amarendra Kumar thanked the government for selecting RGUKT Nuzvid fampus for establishing the AI Incubation Centre.

Programme Coordinator Nagarjuna Devi, Cental Dean D. Sravani, Administrative Officer B. Lakshmana Rao, Ratnakar Dean of Academics, Chief Technology Officer Navin Kumar and teaching and non-teaching staff were present.
