Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Thursday handed over a cheque for ₹1 crore for hosting an ATP Challenger Tour event in Chennai.
Mr. Stalin handed over the cheque to Tamil Nadu Tennis Association president Vijay Amritraj. The event is scheduled to be held in February.
The Deputy CM also handed over cheques to the tune of ₹14.48 lakh on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Champions Foundation to sportspersons, who are to take part in various events.
He also felicitated sportspersons who received the prestigious Arjuna awards.
