Some residents of Ugar Budruk village in Belagavi district and some members of the local gram panchayat staged a protest against the Panchayat Development Officer by locking up the gram panchayat office on Sunday.
They said that the Panchayat Development Officer was not cooperating with members and village residents and was not properly implementing government schemes.
They submitted a memorandum to Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Veeranna Wali and sought the Panchayat Development Officer’s transfer.
