Adalats effective in addressing complaints, says Kerala Water Resources Minister

Minister for Water Resources Roshy Augustine has said that adalats like the ongoing ‘KaruthalumKaithangum’ were effective in addressing long-pending complaints. He was addressing the inaugural meeting of the adalat in Muvattupuzha taluk on Saturday.

He said the success in addressing complaints was reflected in the reduced number of grievances received at the adalat.

Industries Minister P. Rajeeve, who attended the adalat, said the goal was to provide quality service within a set time frame. He added that rules should be interpreted based on their intended purpose.

Mathew Kuzhalnadan and Anoop Jacob, MLAs, along with Muvattupuzha municipal chairman P.P. Eldhos, Koothattukulam municipal chairperson Vijaya Shivan, and District Collector N.S.K. Umesh were present at the adalat.
