All arrangements in place for smooth conduct of Councill polls: Collector

NTR District Collector and Election Officer G. Lakshmisha said foolproof arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the Krishna-Guntur Graduates’ Constituency Legislative Council elections on Thursday.

After inspecting the election material distribution centre at the Sub-Collector’s office in Vijayawada on Wednesday, the Collector said ballot boxes, ballot papers and other polling materials would be distributed to presiding officers at all 112 polling stations. Security had been beefed up along 18 routes that would be used to carry the materials, he said.
