Maharashtra election election: BJP, which contested on 149 seats in the recently conducted Maharashtra polls, is alone winning on around 130 seats, pushing the party’s strike rate at 89 per cent

Maharashtra election result 2024 shows the BJP-led Mahayuti winning and coming to power with a thumping majority. The alliance, which also includes Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) and NCP (Ajit Pawar) – is projected to win over 200 of 288-seat assembly, registering the best performance by the alliance in the western India.

The BJP is alone projected to secure win on 132 out of 149 seats it contested on in November 20 Maharashtra election 2024, achieving an impressive strike rate of nearly 88.59 per cent.

The party’s previous best performance was in 2014, when it bagged 122 seats in the state polls.

In the last Maharashtra polls in 2019, BJP won 105 seats, but failed to form the government as the then undivided Shiv Sena walked out of NDA due to issues over power-sharing.

Meanwhile, as per the Congress, which contested on 101 seats, based on the latest trend of
Maharashtra election result 2024, is leading on 16 seats with a strike rate of mere 15.84 per cent.

Which party’s strike rate is better after BJP?

The Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) followed the BJP with strike rate of 69.49 per as 41 of its 59 candidates, who contested, were leading.

Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde faction of Shiv Sena’s strike rate was 68 per cent, with 55 out of 81 candidates leading in the race.

The strike rate of Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (SP) stood at 22.10 per cent 11.62 per cent respectively.
