The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) refuted the allegation of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy that the BRS government had neglected the pending projects of Palamuru (combined Mahabubnagar) district from 2014 to 2023.

Speaking at Gajwel on Sunday, senior leader of the party and former minister T. Harish Rao stated that it was the Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) governments for 20 years before 2014 that had kept Kalwakurthy, Nettempadu, Bhima and Koilsagar lift irrigation projects pending and only 26,000 acres ayacut was given water put together.

However, after the formation of Telangana and K. Chandrasekhar Rao became the Chief Minister in 2014, the BRS government had completed many pending works of the four projects to take the ayacut under them to over 6 lakh acres. It was not BRS but the TDP and Congress had heaped injustice on Telangana. It was the BRS government that had turned Palamuru green with Krishna river waters, Mr. Harish Rao said.

It was without seeking any application from the beneficiaries, the BRS government had extended support to the tune of ₹73,000 crore to the farming community for 11 crop seasons under Rythu Bandhu, Aasara social security pensions to 57 lakh persons, Kalyana Laxmi benefit to 13 lakh girls from poor families for their marriage.

He alleged that the Congress government was also misleading people on the Kaleshwaram project as it was planning to get 20 tmc ft water to Hyderabad and 5 tmc ft for Musi rejuvenation from it on one hand while not getting repairs done on Medigadda on the other hand.
