A group of devotees led by Mantrapeetha Peethadhipathi Swamy Narasimha Simhayajulu, embarked on a spiritual journey by circumambulating the entire region around the seven hills of Tirumala in a single day.

Usually, devotees trek up the stairs to the temple of Lord Venkateswara atop the Tirumala hillock. However, this group of devotees circumambulated the seven hills in a fleet of vehicles, covering a distance of 300 km.

The circumambulation journey, named ‘Sapthagirula Pradakshina’, commenced from Alipiri early on Tuesday morning. The route involved travelling along highways abutting the thick forests around the range of hillocks in a clockwise direction. The fleet of vehicles passed through Bhakarapeta, Rayachoti, Rajampeta and reached Kapila Theertham in Tirupati at night. The circumambulation concluded with a ‘Harathi’ offered to the holy Tirumala hills.

The Peethadhipathi was accompanied by Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on SC/ST Faggan Singh Kulaste, TTD trust board member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy and Indian Medical Association (IMA) National Vice-President D. Srihari Rao and others.
