Netflix suffered a massive outage on Saturday, impacting thousands of users in India and the US ahead of the much-anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
Downdetector.com, a website that provides real-time information about service failures, has recorded 95,605 outages since morning. Of these, 87 per cent reported video streaming issues while 12 per cent said they could not connect to the servers.
In India, 1,299 cases of outage were reported at 9:13 am with 87 per cent complaining about issues in video streaming.
The outage, however, appears to be localised with most problems being reported from India and the US. Meanwhile, Netflix has yet to put out an official statement addressing the service failure.
