HYDERABAD
How to ensure Telugu cinema grabs attention at the global level, and what are the resources that need to be arranged to ensure Hollywood movies are also shot in Hyderabad, were a few important aspects that were discussed at the meeting between Tollywood bigwigs and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Telangana Film Development Corporation (TGFDC) chairman V. Venkata Ramana Reddy, popularly known as Dil Raju, said that the government and film industry are working together to elevate Telugu cinema to a world-class level.
“Because of a few unexpected incidents, a misconception has been created that there is a gap between the government and film industry,” he said, adding that the requirements of the film industry have been conveyed to the Chief Minister.
He said that the Chief Minister has assured to constitute a committee comprising Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Tollywood representatives to sort out the issues.
Mr. Dil Raju also said that the FDC would convene another meeting with the industry representatives and submit a proposal to the CM.
Later, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that all issues were sorted out and the misinformation was plugged.
