Rangayana in Kalaburagi will organise a three-day workshop on learning theatre songs on its campus from Thursday.
Rangayana Director Sujata Jangamshetty, addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, said that senior theatre artist Shambulinga Waldoddi will teach theatre songs composed by B.V. Karanth, Chandrashekar Kambar and others.
Director of Ranga Sangeeta, Mysuru, Chandrashekarachar Heggotara will inaugurate the three-day workshop.
Fifty students from the Department of Music at Gulbarga University, Smt. V.G. Women’s Degree College, Sharnbasva University, Godutai Doddappa Appa Women’s Degree College and Reshmi Degree College will participate in the workshop.
Dr. Jangamshetty said that students from other institutions and theatre artists interested in learning theatre songs can participate in the workshop.
