Spread the News

With just a month left for the Republic Day celebration, the Tamil Nadu government has increased the prize amount for the Kottai Ameer Communal Harmony Award from ₹25,000 to ₹5 lakh.

It may be recalled that the Tamil Nadu government awarded the Kottai Ameer Communal Harmony Award to Alt News’ co-founder Mohammed Zubair for his work in fighting fake news that claimed that migrant workers were being attacked in Tamil Nadu.

Kottai Ameer Communal Harmony Award was named after late Kottai Ameer who worked for promoting communal harmony and this award it presented every year to a person, who has rendered outstanding services to promote communal harmony.
