TGSRTC announces 3,000 special buses for Shivaratri

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) announced 3,000 special buses for Maha Shivaratri and expressed its commitment towards a convenient journey for devotees travelling to major Shiva temples in the State.

As many as 800 buses have been earmarked to travel to Srisailam, 714 to Vemulawada, and 444 to Edupayala. Another 270 will take passengers to Keesaragutta, 171 to Vela, and 80 to Kaleshwaram.

According to the TGSRTC, bus services will be available from major bus stations such as the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station, Jubilee Bus Station, I S Sadan, and KPHB colony, among other places. The TGSRTC has also put in place facilities for convenience such as seating, drinking water, and public address systems for passengers.

TGSRTC Managing Director V. C. Sajjanar said that this year has seen an increase in deployment of 809 buses. He underscored that the corporation will closely follow the movement of passengers, and ensure a hassle-free and safe travel.

The TGSRTC has also clarified that the Mahalakshmi scheme will continue to remain in force on Palle Velugu, City Ordinary, Express and Metro Express.
