CM Siddaramaiah to Launch ₹936 Crore Projects in Raichur | The Hindustan Gazette

Raichur: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth ₹936 crore on Monday in the Raichur Rural Assembly constituency. He will also attend a tribal cultural festival and other landmark events in the region.

Among the key programs, the CM will launch the naming ceremony of Adikavi Shri Maharshi Valmiki University, lay the foundation stone for the Valmiki Park and bronze statue, and inaugurate the Kalyana Karnataka Human Genome Study Institute.

All necessary arrangements have been made at the main venue, including sound barricades, designated parking zones, seating pavilions, and food and water facilities. A tight police bandobast has been arranged to ensure security.

This major public event is expected to be historic for the region. Key dignitaries attending include Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, various ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and senior officials.

Later in the day, CM Siddaramaiah will travel to Delhi, where he is scheduled to meet the President of India on Tuesday. He will discuss five key state bills sent to the President for approval after being withheld by the Governor, including the RTE (Karnataka Amendment) Bill, 2015, which proposes providing primary education in the mother tongue.
