Ishwar Kumar Kandoo, a 2018-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Raichur Zilla Panchayat on Wednesday.
A native of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Kandoo began his civil service journey in Karnataka as a Probationary Officer in Ballari district during 2019-20.
He later served as Assistant Commissioner in Madikeri for 19 months, followed by a posting as Additional Commissioner in the Commercial Tax Department in Bengaluru.
Before his current appointment, Mr. Kandoo served for over two-and-a-half years as CEO of the Zilla Panchayat in Uttara Kannada where he was noted for his administrative efficiency.
He succeeds Rahul Tukaram Pandve who has been transferred as Additional Commissioner of Public Instruction in Kalaburagi.
