Chairman of the Karnataka Minorities Commission U. Nisar Ahmed visited minorities residential schools in Raichur district on Thursday.
He inspected conditions in the residential schools and the quality of food being served to students.
Mr. Ahmed asked the officers of the department concerned to ensure that all basic needs are provided for students and to maintain quality of food.
“The State government has launched many schemes for the welfare of minority students. Using such schemes and their benefits, you have to reach the goal and achieve in the field you have chosen,” he advised students during an interaction.
He also directed the officers to invite the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police to give valuable guidance to students.
Mr. Ahmed also pointed out the fact that the schools have achieved low percentage in SSLC exam. “The Education Department officers should take initiatives to improve the results,” he said.
