Rahul Pandwe, Chief Executive Officer of Raichur Zilla Panchayat, on Friday placed Kamalakshi, Range Supervisor, Child Development Project, Deodurga, under suspension, on alleged charges of collecting money from Anganwadi workers.
The action came after a report submitted by the Child Development Project Officer of Deodurga and Deputy Director of the Women and Child Development Department on April 3.
In a widely circulated video on social media, Kamalakshi, on March 21, was seen demanding money from Anganwadi workers. When a show-cause notice was issued to her, she didn’t reply to the alleged charges properly, Mr. Pandwe stated in the order.
Based on the report submitted, Mr. Pandwe suspended Kamalakshi and ordered a pending enquiry.
